Gust of wind
- Ally speed boost
- +30%
- Boosts
- Movement speed, not their attack speed

That's a big baby! While attacking, Baby Dragon Evolution creates a gust of wind that speeds up friendly troops and slows down enemies in the area. It's a wind-win situation!

Tournament: Level 11 is the level tournament matches use, whatever a card's rarity.
Card stats use Level 11 as the scaling baseline. Minor rounding differences may occur at other levels, consistent with the source data.
Figures below use Level 11, Clash Royale's tournament standard, regardless of the level selected above.
Baby Dragon is a 4-Elixir Epic flying troop (Arena 6, released in Clash Royale's original Jan 2016 launch pool) that targets Air & Ground. It fires a single ranged fireball impact per attack cycle (first hit 0.3s after acquiring a target, then every 1.5s), dealing its full listed damage (168 at tournament-standard Level 11) simultaneously and undivided to every enemy unit within a 1.5-tile splash radius — a single impact point, since it is a count:x1 unit with no multi-projectile or chain behavior. As an Air unit it can only be targeted/retaliated against by units whose own targeting includes Air; ground-only melee/ranged attackers cannot touch it at all. The base form has no special mechanics beyond this splash attack. Its Evolution (released 1 Sept 2025, cycle cost 2) changes zero raw combat numbers, instead adding a passive 8x9-tile aura that slows enemies' movement -30% and hastes allies' movement +30% while it's alive (the ally figure was nerfed from a launch value of +50% in Dec 2025 to standardize with the enemy slow).
Baby Dragon is a Troop-type card.
Baby Dragon is Epic rarity.
Baby Dragon costs 4 Elixir.
Baby Dragon was released 4 January 2016, which is exactly Clash Royale's own iOS soft-launch date (Canada/Hong Kong/Australia/Sweden/Norway/Denmark/Iceland/Finland/New Zealand; global launch followed 2 March 2016) — meaning it was in the game's original launch card pool, not added later.
Baby Dragon unlocks in Arena 6, P.E.K.K.A.'s Playhouse.
Baby Dragon's Evolution form was released 1 September 2025. This is also a row in the Balance History ledger (September 2025 Update: Evolution released, ally +50% speed / enemy -30% speed at launch, cycle cost 2).
Evolution 'Cycle Cost' (shards needed before the Evolution slot is charged/playable) is 2.
At Level 11, Baby Dragon deals 168 damage per splash hit. This is also the endpoint of the 2026-07-06 'July Balance Changes' (Season 85) ledger row: base damage buffed 161 → 168 (+5%), because the base form was underperforming per patch notes.
EvolutionEvolved Baby Dragon changes none of its own combat numbers — same hitpoints, same 168 splash damage. Instead it adds a passive aura covering roughly an 8x9-tile area that slows enemy movement 30% and speeds up allied movement 30%, the ally figure trimmed down from a launch value of 50% in a December 2025 balance pass.
Baby Dragon also appears as a troop in Clash Royale's Merge Tactics mode, bought from the shop and merged for star upgrades rather than cycled through a deck.
