What is CrownLab?
CrownLab is CrownStats' Clash Royale analysis and decision-support layer: a set of tools that turn a player's own profile, current deck, card levels and recent battles into calculations and evidence-backed recommendations.
CrownStats is an independent Clash Royale statistics and analytics platform focused on fresh, frequently updated data from real battles collected through the official Clash Royale API. CrownLab is the part of CrownStats that applies that data to one player at a time: every tool below is built and maintained by CrownStats, reads the same official data, and states its own method and limits on its page.
CrownStats is an independent project, built and maintained by one developer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Supercell. Clash Royale is a trademark of Supercell.
Questions CrownLab tools answer
What happens if this card hits that card, and what level does it need?
Interaction Lab calculates a single direct hit, the minimum winning level, or a full duel, from card statistics.
What card should I upgrade first?
Upgrade Advisor ranks the eight cards in your current deck by what their next level measurably changes — value, not cost.
Which Evolution should I unlock next, and which should I use?
Evolution Advisor recommends the Evolution to pursue for the decks you actually play, and which of your unlocked Evolutions to run in your current deck — fit with your own decks, not a tier list.
Which Hero should I unlock next, and how do my Heroes fit my deck?
Hero Advisor recommends the Hero to pursue for the decks you actually play, and how the Heroes you own fit your current deck's Hero-compatible slots — fit with your own decks, not a tier list.
Why am I losing?
Battle Insights reports the measurable patterns in your recent 1v1 battles, with the numbers behind each.
Which matchups am I bad against, and what is my personal meta?
Matchup Scout compares your record per opponent archetype with the global baseline for your exact deck.
Who do I keep facing?
Rival Tracker counts repeat opponents in your recent battle log and shows each head-to-head record.
What does my current Clash Royale profile look like at a glance?
Crown Wrapped builds a shareable snapshot of your profile, deck, collection and recent battles.
What should I work on next?
Crown Coach ranks the measured findings from the other tools into one primary focus and supporting actions.
How are things going with my deck right now?
Crown Score combines five measured pillars into one transparent 0–100 snapshot — not a skill rating.
How CrownLab works
CrownLab reads a player's profile, current deck, card levels and recent battle log through the Official Clash Royale API. It combines them with CrownStats' own card-stat dataset (per-level damage, hitpoints and related values, kept current with balance corrections) and, where a tool uses it, CrownStats' aggregated deck statistics from the battles it has collected. Nothing is estimated from a source CrownStats does not have.
Every personal CrownLab result is computed on demand from the recent battles the Clash Royale API currently returns for that player — a recent sample, not a stored career history — so a result can change as new battles are played and older ones leave the log.
Every CrownLab calculation, score and ranking is produced by fixed, published rules over real data — the same inputs always give the same result, and no language model decides anything. The one place generated text appears is Crown Coach's optional plan explanation, which can only restate a plan CrownStats has already computed and is discarded if it mentions a number or action the plan does not contain.
The personal CrownLab tools run on the Clash Royale player tag linked to a signed-in CrownStats account. Interaction Lab needs no account and no tag.
CrownLab terminology
- Crown Score
- CrownStats' 0–100 snapshot of a player's current competitive readiness, built from five measured pillars: recent form, deck consistency, matchup health, level readiness and upgrade readiness. It is not a rating of raw skill.
- Upgrade case
- CrownStats' assessment of what one card's next level would measurably change in a player's current deck, from its level gap and the supported card interactions whose outcome flips. It measures potential gameplay value, never cost or affordability.
- Interaction flip
- A supported direct card interaction whose outcome changes when a card gains a level — a target it now defeats in one hit, or an attacker it now survives.
- Performance gap
- A player's own win rate against an opponent archetype minus the baseline win rate for the same exact deck against that archetype across CrownStats' collected battles, in percentage points. Descriptive, not a significance test.
- Level pressure
- The share of a player's recent comparable 1v1 battles — those where both decks' card levels were known — played at an average card-level disadvantage.
- Evidence strength
- A sample-size label (very small, low, moderate or stronger) attached to a finding. It describes how many battles the finding rests on, not how certain CrownStats is that it explains a result.
- Archetype
- CrownStats' classification of an eight-card deck into a named style — Hog Cycle, Log Bait, LavaLoon and so on — from its win condition and support cards. The same classification is used on every CrownStats deck surface.
- Normalised level
- A card's level expressed on a shared scale regardless of rarity, so cards of different rarities can be compared fairly.
- Recent battle log
- The recent battles the Clash Royale API returns for a player at the moment a tool runs — the personal sample behind every CrownLab analysis. It is not a stored history.
Limitations every CrownLab tool shares
- None of the tools can see what happens inside a battle — card placement, timing, prediction or elixir decisions. They measure results, decks and card levels, and say so.
- The personal tools analyse the recent battle log the Clash Royale API returns at the moment they run. That is a recent sample, not a season or a career, and results change as battles roll off the log.
- CrownStats has no access to a player's Gold, Wild Cards, Elite Wild Cards or Evolution Shards, so no tool can judge whether an upgrade is affordable.
- CrownLab recommendations, Crown Score and Upgrade Advisor's rankings are CrownStats' own formulas. They are not official Supercell ratings or recommendations, and they are not a measure of a player's raw skill.
- Where a tool's data is too thin to support a conclusion, it reports that plainly rather than filling the gap.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is CrownLab?
CrownLab is CrownStats' Clash Royale analysis and decision-support layer: a set of tools that turn a player's own profile, current deck, card levels and recent battles into calculations and evidence-backed recommendations. It is part of CrownStats and is built and maintained by the same one-developer project.
Who built CrownLab?
CrownLab is built by CrownStats, the independent Clash Royale statistics platform. CrownStats is an independent project, built and maintained by one developer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Supercell. Clash Royale is a trademark of Supercell.
What data does CrownLab use?
CrownLab reads a player's profile, current deck, card levels and recent battle log through the Official Clash Royale API. It combines them with CrownStats' own card-stat dataset (per-level damage, hitpoints and related values, kept current with balance corrections) and, where a tool uses it, CrownStats' aggregated deck statistics from the battles it has collected. Nothing is estimated from a source CrownStats does not have.
Why can a CrownLab result change between visits?
Every personal CrownLab result is computed on demand from the recent battles the Clash Royale API currently returns for that player — a recent sample, not a stored career history — so a result can change as new battles are played and older ones leave the log.
Do I need a CrownStats account?
The personal CrownLab tools run on the Clash Royale player tag linked to a signed-in CrownStats account. Interaction Lab needs no account and no tag. A linked tag is needed because the personal tools analyse one specific player's profile and battles.
Are CrownLab recommendations generated by an AI?
Every CrownLab calculation, score and ranking is produced by fixed, published rules over real data — the same inputs always give the same result, and no language model decides anything. The one place generated text appears is Crown Coach's optional plan explanation, which can only restate a plan CrownStats has already computed and is discarded if it mentions a number or action the plan does not contain.
Are CrownLab scores official Clash Royale ratings?
CrownLab recommendations, Crown Score and Upgrade Advisor's rankings are CrownStats' own formulas. They are not official Supercell ratings or recommendations, and they are not a measure of a player's raw skill.
What can't CrownLab see?
Anything that happens inside a battle: card placement, timing, prediction and elixir decisions. The Official Clash Royale API provides results, decks and card levels, not gameplay, and CrownLab never claims to see more than that. Every tool states its own limitations on its page.
