Barbarian Hut is a 6-Elixir Rare building that never attacks on its own — it exists purely to pump out Barbarians. After a 1-second deploy delay it activates, and every 15 seconds it releases a wave of 3 Barbarians (each appearing roughly 0.5s after the last), repeating until its 30-second lifetime expires; if the Hut is destroyed before then, it releases one extra "death spawn" Barbarian. At tournament level 11 the Hut structure itself has 1,164 HP and no attack stat of its own; dividing that 1,164 HP by its 30s lifetime gives roughly 38.8 "effective HP/second" of stalling value (1164÷30=38.8) — note this is an entry-derived arithmetic estimate for rough comparison purposes, not a metric the wiki or Supercell itself defines or publishes. Each spawned Barbarian is a short-ranged (0.7-tile) ground-melee attacker that moves at Medium speed and can only target ground units, so the Hut — which can't defend itself and whose only defenders can't hit the sky — is helpless against flying troops sent straight at it. A real, official March 2026 Supercell balance patch buffed the underlying "Barbarian" unit (more HP, slightly slower swings); since the Hut spawns that exact same unit, its output is very likely tougher-but-slower now too, though no source explicitly ties that patch line to the Hut by name.
Barbarian Hut costs 6 Elixir. It is a Rare-rarity Building card.
Barbarian Hut was released on 4 January 2016, during Clash Royale's phased 2016 rollout. That date was only a limited regional iOS soft-launch (Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, New Zealand) — it was not the game's global launch. Clash Royale's actual worldwide/global release followed on 2 March 2016.
At tournament level 11 the Barbarian Hut structure itself has 1,164 hitpoints, a 15-second spawn interval, a 1-second deploy time, and a 30-second total lifetime. It has no attack of its own.
Dividing the Hut's 1,164 HP (tournament level 11) by its 30-second lifetime yields approximately 38.8 'effective HP per second' of stalling value (1164÷30=38.8).
Snapshot (pre-March-2026-patch), each Barbarian spawned by the Hut had, at level 11: 670 HP, 192 damage per hit, 147 damage/sec, a 1.3s hit speed, a faster 0.4s first-hit speed, Melee/Short (0.7 tile) range, Medium (60) movement speed, and Ground-only targeting/transport.
Supercell's official March 2026 balance patch (Season 81) reworked the 'Barbarians' troop: Hitpoints 670→691 (+3%) and Hit Speed 1.3s→1.4s (+8%, i.e. slower attacks), explained as making Barbarians 'more durable while slightly reducing their attack speed' because they 'were too vulnerable to area damage for their high-Elixir cost.'
Recomputing DPS with the new March 2026 Hit Speed: since Supercell's patch left Barbarian damage-per-hit unchanged (only HP and Hit Speed were listed as changed), a Barbarian's DPS falls from 147 to roughly 137 (192 damage ÷ 1.4s ≈ 137.1, vs. the old 192 ÷ 1.3s ≈ 147.7).
The 0.4-second 'first hit speed' means a newly spawned Barbarian's very first swing lands much faster than normal — about 0.4s after it starts attacking — rather than making the target wait a full 1.3-1.4s regular attack cycle before the first hit connects; subsequent hits then fall back to the normal cadence.
