Figures below use Level 11, Clash Royale's tournament standard, regardless of the level selected above.

Clone is a 3-Elixir Epic spell that instantly creates a duplicate of every friendly troop inside its 3-tile radius, placing each copy just behind the original. Clones hit exactly as hard as the troops they're copied from but carry only 1 hitpoint, so they die to any single hit — Clone is a pure push-multiplier, not a survivable card on its own.

  • Clone costs 3 Elixir and instantly duplicates every friendly troop standing inside a 3-tile circle around where it's cast, spawning each copy just behind the original. It can only affect your own troops — it does nothing to buildings and can't be aimed at the enemy's army — and every copy it creates is extremely fragile, with only 1 hitpoint of health and, if the original troop has one, just 1 hitpoint of shield.

  • A clone is only ever as strong as the Clone spell casting it, not as strong as the troop it's copying. Upgrade Clone to a high level and it pumps out full-strength duplicates even of troops you've barely leveled up; leave Clone under-leveled and it only ever produces weak copies, even of a maxed-out troop. This holds true across every rarity Clone can copy, from Common troops up through Champions.

  • Every clone hits exactly as hard as the troop it's copied from, and it inherits that troop's special properties too — including on-death effects, so a cloned Giant Skeleton still drops a full-damage bomb when its fragile copy dies, and any slow or stun effect the original was carrying transfers to the clone as well.

  • Because a clone dies to literally any hit, cards that barely do any damage are enough to wipe out an entire cloned army — Zap, The Log, Arrows, a Giant Snowball, or even one tick of Poison, Earthquake, or Tornado drops every clone on the field at once. That makes Clone purely an offensive tool for adding weight to a push that's already rolling forward, not a card that can hold up a defense on its own.

  • Since a March 2017 balance update, Clone no longer breaks a troop's charge-up when it's cast on it — cloning a charging Prince or a charging-up Sparky lets the original keep building toward its charged hit uninterrupted. The new clone it creates still has to start its own charge from zero, as though it had just been deployed.

  • Clone's radius hasn't always been 3 tiles. An update in June 2018 widened it to 4 tiles to make the spell easier to land, but a follow-up update in April 2019 walked that back down to 3 tiles, where it has remained ever since.

  • Clone made its debut in Clash Royale on 9 December 2016, entering the game as one of its Epic spells.
