Figures below use Level 11, Clash Royale's tournament standard, regardless of the level selected above.

Dagger Duchess is a Legendary Tower Troop that has been part of the King's Tower's defenses since 1 April 2024 — she costs no Elixir and is never placed like a normal card, instead firing automatically at single targets in the air or on the ground within a long 7.5-tile range. She fights from a stockpile of 8 daggers thrown one every 0.5 seconds; once that stockpile is empty she can only reload and fire a fresh dagger every 0.9 seconds, so her sustained damage drops sharply during prolonged fights compared to her burst when fully loaded.

  • Dagger Duchess is a Legendary Tower Troop stationed in the King's Tower rather than a card you place — she costs no Elixir and has been part of the tower's defenses automatically from the start of every match since her release on 1 April 2024. She fires single-target shots at any enemy within a long 7.5-tile range, hitting both air and ground troops.

  • At tournament-standard level 11, Dagger Duchess has 2,768 hitpoints and throws a dagger every 0.5 seconds for 107 damage, adding up to 214 damage per second while she's got daggers in reserve — solid, steady ranged pressure for a troop that's never placed or paid for.

  • Her attack isn't a steady stream — she carries a stock of 8 daggers she can throw one every 0.5 seconds, but once that stock runs dry, each new dagger needs 0.9 seconds to charge up before it can be thrown, stretching her real attack cycle to 1.4 seconds per hit. That drops her real damage output to roughly 76 per second until the stockpile builds back up, which is why she hits hardest against a sudden rush and noticeably softer if she's been kept firing continuously through a long fight.

  • Dagger Duchess launched hitting hard for a free defensive troop, and within a couple of months Supercell cut her damage from 153 down to 112 per dagger (a 27% reduction) while also speeding up her reload. The developers said she had gone beyond her intended job of punishing cheap cycle decks and was shutting down expensive cards almost single-handedly with little counterplay.

  • In January 2025, Supercell nearly doubled her dagger travel speed, from 600 to 1000. It wasn't just about hitting harder targets faster — it fixed a real bug where Dagger Duchess would switch to a new target before her slower daggers actually landed on and finished off enemies with damage-reduction effects, such as an Evolution Knight mid-shield or a Monk holding up his block.

  • She was toned down again in April 2025, with her per-dagger damage trimmed from 112 to 107. Supercell said she was providing too much defensive value early in matches, letting players lean almost entirely into offense since she alone could handle whatever showed up on defense.

  • Her attack speed was slowed slightly in August 2025, going from a dagger every 0.45 seconds to one every 0.5 seconds. This was part of a wider pass aimed at Tower Troops in general, which Supercell felt had become the backbone of too many decks dominating high ladder play.
