Can't stop, won't stop! Evolved Electro Dragon's attack will chain between targets infinitely and can hit the same target more than once. Additional Chained Attacks won't stun enemy targets, and they will not hit Crown Towers.

Tournament: Level 11 is the level tournament matches use, whatever a card's rarity.
×N (total) is the damage of each hit, how many hit, and their combined total.
Card stats use Level 11 as the scaling baseline. Minor rounding differences may occur at other levels, consistent with the source data.
Figures below use Level 11, Clash Royale's tournament standard, regardless of the level selected above.
Electro Dragon is a 5-Elixir Epic flying troop that hits up to three air or ground targets at once with a chaining lightning bolt, each one taking full damage and a brief stun. Its Evolution turns that bolt into an infinite chain that keeps bouncing between grouped-up enemies, at reduced damage and without the stun past the first three hits, making it devastating against clumped pushes.
Electro Dragon costs 5 Elixir and flies, letting it strike both air and ground targets from a generous 3.5-tile range. It has 1,451 hitpoints, deals 267 damage per hit, and lands its first attack almost immediately — just 0.8 seconds after being deployed — before settling into its normal rhythm of one attack every 2.3 seconds. It moves at medium speed and takes 1 second to deploy.
Electro Dragon's bolt doesn't stop at one enemy — it arcs to strike up to three different nearby air or ground troops simultaneously, and every troop it hits takes the full 267 damage rather than a shared or split amount. Each one hit is also stunned for half a second, briefly interrupting whatever they were doing, which is enough to stall a charging attacker or throw off an attack cycle.
Evolutiononce evolved, Electro Dragon's bolt no longer stops after three targets — it keeps bouncing indefinitely between any enemies standing close together, and can even strike the same troop more than once, continuing until only one target is left. Beyond the initial three hits, each extra jump deals 64 damage but no longer applies the stun. The evolution recharges quickly, too: playing the regular Electro Dragon just once after using the evolved version is enough to ready it for another evolved deployment.
Electro Dragon was released on 9 November 2018.
In January 2025, Supercell cut Electro Dragon Evolution's extra-chain damage by a third, from 192 down to 128, after it started single-handedly wiping out large troop pushes in decks that had no hard counter for it besides spells like Lightning.
A March 2026 rebalance cut Electro Dragon Evolution's extra-chain damage in half again, from 128 down to 64, while at the same time giving the base Electro Dragon a 5% hitpoint boost, from 949 up to 998. Supercell said the two versions of the card had grown too far apart in power and shifted some of the Evolution's strength back into the base card.
Electro Dragon's hitpoints were raised again in June 2026, from 998 up to 1,049 (+5%), because Supercell felt the dragon was still too fragile for a 5-Elixir card — easy to pick off with cheap spells — even though heavy hitters like Lightning would still finish it off in one shot.
Because Electro Dragon flies, only troops and buildings that can actually target air will ever be able to hit it back. Purely ground-targeting attackers have no way to strike it at all, so it can chain-zap and stun them from above without ever taking return damage from that threat.
