Goblin Demolisher

Goblin Demolisher is a 4-Elixir Rare troop that lobs area-damage bombs at ground targets from range. Once its hitpoints fall to 50% or below, it drops the bombs, doubles its speed, and turns into a fast, melee, building-only kamikaze charger that is guaranteed to detonate in one wide explosion within about 10 seconds — whether that comes from combat damage, reaching its target, or its own built-in hitpoint drain.

• Goblin Demolisher is a 4-Elixir Rare troop with 1,300 hitpoints that lobs explosives at ground targets from range, dealing 186 area damage roughly every 1.1 seconds — about 169 damage per second — across a 5-tile range and a 1.5-tile splash. His first bomb comes out much faster than that pace suggests, landing just 0.5 seconds after he's deployed, so he can often get a hit in before enemies are ready. Like Bomber, he can only target ground troops and buildings, so flying units pass by him completely untouched.

• Once Goblin Demolisher's hitpoints drop to 50% or lower, he drops his bombs and transforms: he exactly doubles his movement speed to the same Very Fast tier as cards like Hog Rider, and switches to targeting buildings only, sprinting past any troops in his way without giving them a second glance. Because he ignores troops entirely once he's charging, a cheap defensive building like Cannon or Tesla can pull him off course before he reaches a Princess Tower or the King's Tower — the same trick that works against other building-targeting chargers like Hog Rider or Battle Ram.

• Goblin Demolisher's charging kamikaze form is a bomb with a built-in fuse: it loses 65 hitpoints every second on top of whatever damage defenders deal to it, and it can only stay in that state for 10 seconds. A Demolisher that flips into kamikaze mode with exactly half of its 1,300 hitpoints — 650 — left will bleed out to zero from that drain alone right around the time its 10-second clock runs out, so it's essentially guaranteed to detonate within that window even if nothing ever touches it.

• However Goblin Demolisher dies — shot down mid-charge, detonated on contact with a building, or simply out of time — he goes out with one big bang: 404 damage across a 2.5-tile radius, noticeably wider than the 1.5-tile splash of his regular bomb attacks. That's wide enough to also catch defending troops standing near whatever building he was aiming for.

• Goblin Demolisher joined Clash Royale on 17 June 2024 with the Goblin Queen's Journey update, launching alongside two other new Goblin-themed cards, the Goblin Machine and the Goblin Curse spell.

• Goblin Demolisher's very first balance patch landed just two weeks after release: on 2 July 2024, Supercell cut its death-explosion damage from 465 down to 404, shrank that explosion's radius from 3 tiles to 2.5, and slowed its regular attack interval from 1.1 to 1.2 seconds. Supercell said the card was too effective both at shutting down enemy pushes and at chewing through towers thanks to its oversized blast.

• The fuse on Goblin Demolisher's kamikaze charge has been rewritten three separate times. Supercell cut how long the transformed state lasts from 10 seconds to 7 in October 2024 to make the card easier to punish once it drops below half health, decided that cut was too harsh and brought it back up to 8 seconds in January 2025, then restored it all the way to the original 10 seconds in June 2025.

• A December 2025 balance update also sped up Goblin Demolisher's regular attack interval, cutting it from 1.2 seconds down to 1.1 seconds to give the card steadier, more consistent damage output before it transforms.
