Void now fires 20% faster after the August 26 2026 balance patch — Hit Frequency dropped from 1.2 seconds to 1 second across its three-hit sequence, a real DPS increase. Per-hit damage at each level is unchanged; only the pacing between hits sped up.

Void is a 5-Elixir Epic spell that strikes every enemy troop caught in a 2.5-tile radius with three waves of damage over roughly 4 seconds. Its signature trait is inverse scaling: the fewer troops it catches, the harder each one gets hit, so a single isolated target takes far more damage than the same cast would deal to a big group. In August 2026, Supercell reworked Void, raising its cost from 3 to 5 Elixir and roughly doubling its damage in every target bracket, turning it from a cheap, flexible utility spell into a dedicated answer to tough ranged troops like Bowler, Executioner, and Hunter. Because it still punishes single targets hardest and multi-troop clumps least, it remains a weak pick against wide swarms — pair it with a separate splash spell for those.
Void first launched on 6 May 2024 as an Epic spell and unlocks starting in the Miner's Mine arena.
Void is unusual among spells in that it deals less damage per troop the more enemies it catches: a single isolated target takes the heaviest hit, a small cluster of 2-4 troops takes noticeably less each, and a group of 5 or more takes the least per troop.
Void currently costs 5 Elixir to cast, up from its original 3-Elixir cost at launch.
At tournament-standard level, Void hits a single target for 696 damage per wave (2,088 total if that target stays inside the blast for all three waves); that per-wave figure drops to 294 when 2-4 troops are caught together, and to 153 when 5 or more are caught, so the total damage gets spread thinner the more troops share it.
Void also chips crown towers directly: 97 tower damage per wave (291 total) when it's only hitting the tower, scaling down to 51 per wave if 2-4 troops are also caught, and 35 per wave with 5 or more troops caught.
EvolutionVoid has no Evolution or Hero variant as of this update — the base spell is the only form of the card.
The August 2026 rework repositioned Void from a cheap, general-purpose spell into what Supercell describes as the game's first 5-Elixir damage spell, purpose-built to answer tanky ranged troops such as Bowler, Executioner, and Hunter.
The rework also slightly slowed Void's internal hit rate, from a damage wave every 1 second to one every 1.2 seconds, even as the damage per wave roughly doubled overall.
