Hero Barbarian Barrel

Barbarian Barrel is a 2-Elixir Epic ground-targeting spell that rolls forward in a straight line, dealing area damage to every enemy unit and building it rolls over/near, and then breaks open at the end of its roll to release a single Barbarian troop that keeps walking and fighting as a normal melee ground unit. It no longer has any knockback effect despite the in-game flavor text still describing one (removed in a 2018 balance patch). Its short 4.5-tile range means an unanswered Barbarian can only land one hit on a Crown Tower before the tower starts hitting back, a deliberate 2022 nerf. A late-2025/early-2026 round of balance patches slowed how quickly the spawned Barbarian "wakes up" after landing (deploy time doubled) specifically to make the spell worse at one-shotting mid-HP troops on impact, then a small follow-up bug-fix patch nudged its damage back up slightly to fix a Level-16-only interaction where it (with Electro Spirit) couldn't finish off a Wall Breaker. Barbarian's new deploy time will make the spell less effective at clearing out mid-hitpoint troops.'

• Mechanically, the barrel rolls forward along the ground in a straight line, damaging every enemy unit/building it passes, then 'breaks' at the end of its travel distance and a single Barbarian pops out to continue on foot as a normal troop — matching the in-game description: 'It rolls, knocks back and damages anything in the way - then breaks and out pops a Barbarian!
