Spirit Empress was buffed on 7 September 2026, with both her air and ground form damage raised from 309 to 320 at tournament standard. Her hitpoints, hit speed and the transformation between forms are unchanged, so the buff applies evenly in either stance.

Figures below use Level 11, Clash Royale's tournament standard, regardless of the level selected above.
Spirit Empress is a Legendary troop with a shape-shifting Elixir cost: she deploys as a flying, medium-ranged Air Form for 6 Elixir if you have 6 or more Elixir banked when you play her, or as a fast, melee Ground Form for just 3 Elixir if you don't. Both forms hit for the same damage per swing, but the quicker-attacking Ground Form deals damage faster overall, while the Air Form trades speed for reach and the ability to hit both air and ground targets. Since her July 2025 release she's been one of Supercell's most frequently retuned Legendaries, cycling through hitpoint buffs and nerfs and a movement-speed change to her Ground Form as the team hunts for the right power level for her dual-form gimmick.
Spirit Empress is a single Legendary troop that changes shape based on how much Elixir you have when you play her: with 6 or more Elixir banked she costs 6 and deploys as a flying troop, and with less than that she costs only 3 and deploys as a ground troop instead. She takes about 1 second to deploy either way.
In Air Form, Spirit Empress flies at Medium speed, attacks from 5 tiles away, and can hit both air and ground targets, with a fast 0.6-second opening swing before settling into a slower 1.6-second attack rhythm.
In Ground Form, she moves at Fast speed, only attacks ground targets in melee range, and attacks even quicker than her Air Form: a 0.5-second opening hit followed by a 1.2-second attack cycle.
Both forms hit for the same 309 damage per swing at tournament-level stats, but because the Ground Form attacks faster, it deals more damage per second overall: roughly 257 DPS on the ground versus roughly 193 DPS in the air.
Spirit Empress launched on 7 July 2025 as part of Season 73 ('Dress to Empress'), unlockable in the Miner's Mine arena — the game's first card whose Elixir cost and form both change based on how much Elixir the player has banked.
A month after launch, Supercell buffed her to encourage more use: her Air Form's range grew from 4.5 to 5 tiles and both forms' hitpoints rose by about 5%.
The buff proved too strong: by September 2025 Supercell cut her Air Form's hitpoints by about 10% to curb her survivability as a flying troop.
In November 2025, a follow-up buff raised her Ground Form's hitpoints again, from 1,134 to 1,244, specifically to make the grounded form hold up better once it gets into a fight.
Supercell kept adjusting her into 2026: in March 2026 her Ground Form's movement speed was raised from Medium to Fast (paired with a hitpoint trim) so she wasn't only useful as a Lava Hound counter-pusher, and by May 2026 both forms had lost further hitpoints, with the Ground Form's hit speed also slowed slightly, to rein in her overall strength.
