Quest 1 Orb

1 random Equipment from this 8-item pool
Quest 2 Orb

1 random Equipment from this 14-item pool
Boss Mask — coming in October. Grants the equipped troop the Boss trait, regardless of its original trait. Available from October, alongside the Boss trait's own return.
Quest 3 Orb

Equipment is no longer auto-assigned in Season 11.
Equipment must now be manually assigned to a Troop during the deployment phase. Equipment left on the bench remains unused for that round — a strong roll from a Quest Orb means nothing if it never gets equipped.
What are Quest Orbs in Merge Tactics?
Quest Orbs are rewards earned by completing milestones in your Ruler's Quest during a Merge Tactics match. Each Ruler Quest has three stages, and clearing each stage unlocks the corresponding Quest 1, Quest 2 or Quest 3 Orb. The reward pool becomes more valuable as you progress through the Quest.
In Season 11, Supercell simplified the reward pools. Quest 1 can give 3 Elixir or Equipment, Quest 2 can give 6 Elixir or higher-tier Equipment, and Quest 3 can increase your Team Size or award a 3-Star 4/5-Elixir Troop.

| Quest 2 Elixir | 12 | 6 |

| Quest 3 Elixir | 24 | Removed |
| Quest 3 Troop | 3-Star premium troop | 3-Star 4/5-Elixir troop |
| Quest 3 Team Size | No | +1 Team Size possible |
How Quest Orbs work in Season 11
Every Ruler has its own Quest objective — a specific in-match milestone tied to that Ruler's identity, not a shared generic task. Each objective has three milestones, and you progress through them in order: Quest 1 is always the earliest and easiest Orb to reach, Quest 2 comes next, and Quest 3 — requiring both prior stages cleared first — is the most powerful pool.
When you clear a milestone, the game draws one reward from that Orb's current pool — it's never a guaranteed specific item, and a single Orb never grants more than one reward. Because each Ruler's objective differs, how fast you reach each Orb varies by which Ruler you're playing, but the reward pools themselves are the same regardless of Ruler. Season 11 changed what those pools contain — smaller Elixir amounts, defined Equipment pools, and +1 Team Size joining Quest 3 — without changing the basic three-stage Ruler Quest structure itself.
How Season 11 Quest Orb rewards affect your strategy
CrownStats analysis
- Quest 1 is much less Elixir-heavy than before, since its Elixir outcome fell from 6 to 3.
- Quest 2 similarly dropped from 12 to 6 Elixir and no longer uses the old 2-Star troop reward structure.
- Quest 3 has shifted from raw economy toward board power — the old 24-Elixir outcome is gone, and +1 Team Size is now possible instead.
- Equipment carries more strategic friction, since Season 11 requires manually assigning it to a troop.
- A strong Equipment roll means nothing if it stays on the bench unassigned.
- Quest 3's 3-Star premium troop can create a major mid/late-game power spike when it lands.
Frequently Asked Questions

Quest Orbs are rewards earned from the three milestones of a Ruler Quest. Quest 1, Quest 2 and Quest 3 have different reward pools, with the strongest potential rewards appearing in Quest 3.
What does a Quest 1 Orb give in Season 11?
A Season 11 Quest 1 Orb can award 3 Elixir or one random Equipment item from an 8-item pool: Maiden's Shield, Prince's Lance, Fisherman's Hook, Valkyrie's Axe, Lumberjack's Jar, Battle Healer's Blessing, P.E.K.K.A's Sword or Archer Queen's Cape.
What does a Quest 2 Orb give in Season 11?

What does a Quest 3 Orb give in Season 11?
Quest 3 can award +1 Team Size or one 3-Star Troop that costs 4 or 5 Elixir.
Does Quest 3 still give 24 Elixir?
No. The 24-Elixir Quest 3 reward from Season 10 was removed in Season 11. +1 Team Size is now one of the Quest 3 outcomes instead.
Does Quest 2 still give a 2-Star troop?
No. Season 11 removed the previous Quest 2 2-Star troop reward and replaced the reward structure with 6 Elixir and a defined Equipment pool.
Can I get Boss Mask from a Quest Orb in September 2026?
No. Supercell says Boss Mask joins Quest Orbs in October when the Boss Trait returns.
Is Equipment automatically equipped in Season 11?
No. Equipment must now be manually assigned to a Troop during deployment. Equipment left on the bench remains unused for that round.
When does Merge Tactics Season 11 end?
Season 11 runs from September 1, 2026 to December 1, 2026. There are no monthly ranked resets during the three-month season.
Do all Rulers have the same Quest?
No. Each Ruler has its own objective and milestones, but each Quest progresses through Quest 1, Quest 2 and Quest 3 rewards.
Which troops can Quest 3 give in September?
As of September 4, 2026, Quest 3's confirmed pool resolves to 8 troops that currently cost 4 or 5 Elixir: P.E.K.K.A, Mega Knight, Electro Wizard at 4 Elixir, and Golden Knight, Archer Queen, Skeleton King, Boss Bandit, Monk at 5 Elixir.
Are Season 11 Quest Orbs different from Season 10?
Yes. Season 11 reduced the Elixir outcomes, removed the old Quest 2 troop outcome, introduced defined Equipment pools and added +1 Team Size as a Quest 3 reward.
Tier structure (Elixir amounts, Equipment pool sizes, the +1 Team Size / 3-Star troop reward) is from Supercell's own Season 11 release notes. Quest 1's 8-piece Equipment pool is fully confirmed and shown in full below. Quest 2's 14-piece pool is now fully confirmed as of 2026-09-04 (previously only 3 of 14 members were independently confirmed) — Boss Mask is NOT part of this September pool; see its own equipment record for the confirmed October timing. Quest 3's 10-troop pool is independently corroborated across two sources, but 2 of its 10 members (Electro Giant, Mini P.E.K.K.A.) cost 3 Elixir per this dataset's own troop records — inconsistent with the tier's own '4 or 5 Elixir' reward text — so the page renders this pool filtered to only the troops that actually cost 4 or 5 Elixir today, rather than editing the confirmed-membership list on a guess either way.
