How Build Intelligence works
CrownStats reads your currently selected team, applies any Equipment Trait overrides, and counts each Trait's unique contributors conservatively — a duplicate troop slot never counts twice. Build Intelligence then separates verified current Trait thresholds, where CrownStats has a dated confirmation of the exact activation tiers, from Traits whose contributor counts it can still show but whose exact breakpoints are not yet sufficiently verified. Exact "next tier" guidance is only ever shown for a verified current Trait.
How Improve This Team works
CrownStats evaluates each suggested Merge Tactics change independently from your current build. It can currently evaluate adding one troop where team capacity permits, changing or removing one Trait-overriding Equipment item, or a troop swap that replaces one troop while keeping that slot's Equipment. For each candidate, CrownStats recalculates Build Intelligence and compares it against your current build, then shows verified Trait gains, verified Trait losses (trade-offs) and any unverified contributor-count changes before the change is applied.
Each suggestion is an independent alternative from your current build, not a sequential instruction — there is no "Apply All". Applying one change simply recalculates Build Intelligence and Improve This Team from the new build state.
What does "verified Trait" mean?
CrownStats only states an exact Trait tier when it has a current, dated confirmation of that Trait's activation thresholds — right now that applies to Clan, Undead and Rider. Other current Traits may still show contributor counts, while exact breakpoint guidance is withheld until CrownStats has the same level of confirmation for them. This list changes as CrownStats verifies more Traits, not a fixed set.
How CrownStats calculates Merge Tactics suggestions

- Equipment Trait overrides are applied to get each troop's effective Trait.
- Trait contributions are calculated, counting duplicate troops conservatively.
- Exact breakpoint guidance is only used where current thresholds are verified.

Limitations
CrownStats' current Improve This Team suggestions optimize verified Trait structure. They do not currently predict battle win rate or claim that a suggested team is universally stronger — only that a specific change activates, advances or loses a verified Trait tier.
